Biography
Bill Klinger is a member of SmithAmundsen's construction litigation group, where he focuses on defending architects, engineers, contractors, developers, insurers and owners in all forms of transactional practice and litigation. He oversees client matters from investigation through successful resolution by way of dispositive motion, arbitration, mediation and/or trial.
Bill’s services also include the realms of insurance coverage, contract drafting, OSHA compliance and litigation, appellate practice, first-party property insurance disputes, premises liability and medical malpractice defense. Similarly, Bill guides businesses through the Minority Business Enterprise ("MBE"), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise ("DBE"), Women Owned Business Enterprise ("WBE") and Veteran Owned Business ("VOB") certification and appeals process.
Prior to joining SmithAmundsen, Bill represented design professionals in both the litigation and transactional contexts, as well as property insurers in first-party claims and lawsuits nationwide.
Bill is licensed to practice in the state of Illinois and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He has also represented clients in state or federal courts in Iowa, Nevada, New York and Wisconsin.
