Biography

I have always been interested in helping people. Before law school I worked in healthcare as a genetic counselor for 17 years. I helped patients understand their genetic test results.

After many years of helping people navigate the health care system, I developed an interest in helping people navigate other complex areas of life and decided to go to law school.

I attended Western Michigan University Cooley Law School where I graduated in the top 15% of my class. While in law school, I received the highest grade in my class for Property Law, Estate Planning, and Michigan Legal Research. I did all of this (with lots of help from my husband) while working full-time and raising a family. I am married to Allen DeWall and together we have two energetic and creative boys. Allen is a realtor and our boys are busy with school and karate.

Family has always been important to me and that is why I will be thorough in helping you achieve your goals as you plan to take care of your loved ones.
