Biography
Based in Chicago, Michael Schmiege offers zealous criminal defense representation to clients throughout Illinois, including Cook County, DuPage County, Lake County and Will County. He also defends clients against federal matters in U.S. District Courts all over the nation.
Attorney Schmiege defends against all misdemeanor and felony matters, including violent crimes, sex offenses, domestic battery, orders of protection, weapons offenses, arson, white collar crimes, drug crimes, theft, civil rights violations, police misconduct, DUIs and traffic offenses. He handles state and federal matters through trial and post-conviction, including appeals, expungements and probation violations.
Mr. Schmiege fights tirelessly for his clients' freedom and reputation, providing them with aggressive representation in defense of criminal charges. He founded his solo practice, the Law Offices of Michael Schmiege, with the goal of offering effective and dedicated representation to clients whose cases other firms have turned down. His mission is to win the cases others have deemed NOT winnable - against whatever odds.
