Biography

Jose Xavier Orochena is a first-generation Latin-American born to immigrant parents who fled civil war in Nicaragua. After graduating college, Jose Xavier Orochena enlisted in the US Active Army where he was deployed to combat in Iraq. At the conclusion of his deployment to Iraq, Jose Xavier Orochena fulfilled his dream of becoming a lawyer. After law school, Jose Xavier Orochena served as a prosecutor in Florida. Jose Xavier Orochena is the co-founding member of Orochena & Associates, PC Jose Xavier Orochena is a well-known and highly experienced criminal trial attorney. Jose Xavier Orochena who has tried countless misdemeanor and felony cases in both federal and state courts in both Florida and New York. Jose Xavier Orochena is also a tireless immigration attorney. Jose Xavier Orochena has handled highly publicized cases that appeared in the local, national and international media.Jose Xavier Orochena is not only an effective communicator in court and among the Spanish speaking community. Jose Xavier Orochena grew up in a Spanish speaking home and remains bi-lingual (Spanish / English). Jose Xavier Orochena is a member of the bar of New York and Florida and is admitted to practice in the federal courts of the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, as well as the Southern District of Florida.
Jose Xavier Orochena received a Bachelor of Arts from SUNY Albany and a Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Law School. Jose Xavier Orochena served as a State's Attorney in Florida and established his own law firm with his wife and fellow attorney, Rebecca A. Orochena. As an impassioned immigration attorney, Jose Xavier Orochena, was highly sought after by the media for his legal analysis during the immigration crisis involving separated mothers and their children during the Trump Administration.
