Biography

Vanessa Braeley specializes in civil litigation involving business torts, contract disputes, real estate disputes, corporate law and consumer protection, including bankruptcy. Vanessa excels at developing litigation strategies and has an aggressive approach to motion practice. Her background in complex commercial disputes carries through each area of law she practices. Vanessa has crossover experience in criminal law, and has represented clients facing charges of DUIs, domestic violence, stand-your-ground law and murder. Additionally, Vanessa has worked on several matters involving white collar crime.

Prior to joining NeJame Law, Vanessa ran her own private practice, representing clients in general civil and criminal law.

As a student, Vanessa Braeley attended University of Central Florida, where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Legal Studies with a specialization in entertainment and sports law and was a member of Phi Alpha Delta. She moved on to graduate Cum Laude from Florida A & M Law School, where she focused on international business law and transactions. During law school, Vanessa was an editor for Law Review and Team Lead of the Law Review Write-On Competition.

Vanessa is contributing author of Orlando Style Magazine’s legal column, and has been published nationally in Create Magazine. Vanessa has been seen on Channel 13 as a legal analyst on various local and national issues, including the Zimmerman trial, as well as legal analyst on worldwide network Aljazeera’s “Inside Story”. Vanessa Braeley dedicates a substantial amount of time to various non-profit organizations, including Pennies from Heaven and Runway to Hope.

Vanessa is licensed to practice in both Florida state and federal court and is a member of the Florida Bar Association, Central Florida Bankruptcy Law Association, American Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division of OCBA and the Business Law Section of the ABA.
